You are invited to kick off the fall with a creative and relaxing workshop/spa inspired day. We will begin the morning session with a gentle yoga practice poolside (mats provided), led by Sherrie Graham-Greene, followed by a break. You will then spend the remaining part of the day creating a fall-themed piece of art by afternoon's end with instruction led by Connie Tucker. This workshop, situated in a beautiful poolside garden setting with plenty of shade and work tables, is geared for both beginner and experienced artists. We will provide smoothies, a salad bar/sandwich lunch, and afternoon wine spritzers, as well as masa paper for the art piece. You will bring your own watercolor paints, brushes, and two pieces of 12" x 18" watercolor paper, a swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen. Watercolor paints are a very different artistic medium than acrylic or oil paints. Join Lexington watercolor artist Connie Tucker for an afternoon workshop on the fundamentals of this exciting style. Connie will teach students how to develop a painting based on a photograph, providing detailed instructions about how she approaches the process.
